Garrit Soney | Director of Operations
Garrit and his wife Jane moved to Colorado in March of 2023 after feeling called to help with church planting efforts in Englewood. The Soneys grew up in Greenville, NC and lived in central NC for the previous 6 years. Garrit works in municipal parks and recreation and Jane is a registered nurse. The Soneys love spending time in the outdoors, playing board games, going to sporting events, and traveling.
Julia Pletan | Director of Children’s Ministry
Julia grew up in Texas alongside her 6 brothers, 2 sisters, and a large variety of farm animals. She moved to Colorado in 2021, and quickly caught the vision of planting a church in Englewood. After teaching for two years, Julia now works with children with autism as a registered behavioral technician. Julia loves paddleboarding, reading, taking long walks, and listening to a good story.
JonPaul Watson | Pastor
JonPaul (JP) met his wife Carrie in Richmond, VA. After tying the knot in 2007, they moved to St. Louis, MO, and JP began his studies at Covenant Seminary. A few more moves and four kids later (Lucy, Judah, Luke, and Jane), the Watsons planted roots in Greenville, NC, where JP worked as a pastor and Carrie began her degree in library sciences. Feeling called to church planting, the Watsons accepted a residency with the Western Church Planting Network and moved out to Englewood. The whole crew loves music, books, podcasts, and dinners/hangouts that go long into the evening.
