What does it mean to be Presbyterian?

What We Believe

We believe the Bible.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and it teaches us what we should believe and how we should live as God’s people.

We believe God is big and we are small.

We believe that God is the Creator, Preserver, Sustainer, and Redeemer of the world. He is sovereign over everything, and he is working all things for his glory.

We believe God acts the same in the Old and New Testaments.

We believe that the Bible is one big story of God filling the earth with his glory. Central to his plan is gathering a people who bear witness to his goodness and glory in the world. He relates to these people through a covenant. This covenant always includes God’s people, those who have put their faith in him and follow him in obedience, and their children.

We believe Jesus is the Gospel.

We believe that all of the blessings of the Gospel come to us “in Christ.” We bring nothing, Jesus does everything, and then God delights over us as beloved children. For believers and unbelievers alike, Jesus is our chief need and hope.
